After Viennas parents split ip over an affair turned pregnancy Vienna decides love is just a fleeting moment in time, not a life long commitment. She moves to Oregon where she finds a hockey player with very similar beliefs. His abusive father instilled this belief that love is a facade a picture for the camera rather than an all consuming emotion.
Then, coincidence turns to fate when these to love haters continue to run into each other. Quickly their 'fleeting moment of love' turns into a very unhealthy obsession. While it may look cute to everyone else it is crippling, and before they know it they are drowning in each others affection.
Will there love fight through it all and prove them wrong or will these two be proved right in this trying 'cigarette' comparable love affair? Travel with them while they learn the ropes of life, that they thought they already had mapped out. It has been said that they had to grow up quick, but did they ever have the chance to be children?
