Sun Wukong and Macaque's relationship has grown. They were getting along better than they ever used to. Still going through past traumas and pains together, but manage to mend their way to becoming a couple. MK had recently found out that they were his true parents. After remembering that he had been born from the same stone as the Monkey King. Everything started to finally settle down. But the demons who wanted to claim the Monkey King's life were still at large. 

But how could an immortal die when they can only be scarred and tortured?

Sun Wukong fights his way to protect his love and his cub.

During a battle, Macaque gets injured, the group does not yet trust Macaque and is still skeptical so they leave the monkey king to watch over him, not only to make sure he is well healed but also so he doesn't run off or do anything destructive. The healing process is slow and painful, it hurts to even use his power. He finds himself unable to even move from his bed some morning. On the verge of death, Sun Wukong is worried for his ex-best friend.

MK was orphaned at a young age. He doesn't know why he's never felt normal, doesn't know why he's never fit in and he certainly doesn't know that his actual parents are Sun Wukong and Macaque. This is MK's journey through life, trying to figure out who he is, where he came from, and why his balance sucks. (Most of this is set at the beginning of the actual show except the first two chapters which are before. This is just an excuse to write my two favourite Monkey's being dad's to Mk basically. She keeps her powers a secret with the idea that magic does not exist, and her empathy abilities are different compared to a diagnosis. She lives a peaceful life until she encounters the Monkey King which makes her question herself throughout the story. He helps her unlock her true potential, and during their time together they gain feelings for one another. However, one of them is not being honest with themselves thus causes a rift between the two throughout the story allowing another player (Macaque) to swoop in for reader's comfort.
