the air is toxic, breathing it would kill you in seconds, resources are scarce and everyone is out for themselves, with the limited resources and the rapidly dying population, survival is hard but those that survive may be able to escape this treacherous land.
the lands are dominated by gangs of people with strict codes that keep them alive and maintain order. though deeper in these lands there may be more valuable resources so travel is recommended but the air is increasingly more lethal as you enter the core
