It's Hallie Hayes' last day of Jr. High and rumour is that Alex Kelly is going to kiss Sarah B. after the third period bell. The bell rings. What happens next kicks off the summer romance of Hallie's dreams. But when Hallie unexpectedly becomes the subject of a new rumour, her feelings are put to the test and she learns that you don't always get what you want, but if you try, sometimes, you get what you need.

I'm new to Wattpad, so my current plan is to post one chapter a week for thirteen weeks! But I'm wondering, dear reader, would you rather just have the whole book, all thirteen chapters (~12,000 words), all at once? Let me know in the comments!

A quick note about format: The Kiss is written as a novelette. What is a novelette, you ask? I'd love to tell you. 

A novelette is a rare type of short fiction, typically 7500-20,000 words, that develops a fully complete story around a single central conflict.

I wrote a novelette because, I wanted a cute summer romance that I could devour in about two hours (the same time it takes to watch a movie) and feel fully satisfied.
