Winter's Ashes

Bucky Barnes is a man on the mend six months after pulling his friend Steve out of the Potomac River right after the epic battle between S.H.I.E.L.D. And HYDRA. Pieces of his former self are coming back, and he hasn't had trouble with HYDRA in nearly as long when Ashburn Ducane quite literally runs into him.

Ashburn is... Hard to describe. An anti-hero if there ever was one, and not at all inclined to do as others expect. Soft and strong as silk, hard and cold as ice, hot and wild as fire, and quick and bright as lightning, she's a paradox made of smoke. Okay, so she's basically a messed-up science fair project, but in a good way. The best way, actually.

So when her iffy past begins to affect her present, she's on the run from more than one group of people. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, with an internationally known assassin constantly on her mind, Ash does the only thing she CAN do... She pretends she doesn't speak English.
