Max is just a boy who wants peace in a world that rarely gives it to him. Between his parents' late-night arguments, the cruelty of classmates, and the weight of secrets no child should carry, he clings to fleeting comforts-his drawings, his mother's smile, his father's teasing, and stolen laughter with his sister across a glowing screen. But Max carries something no child should bear: a gift that stirs whispers and visions whenever he brushes against the echoes of the dead. A forgotten photograph, a name in the newspaper, an abandoned toy-all can awaken voices no one else can hear. At first, it feels like nothing more than a curse. Yet in his quiet town, shadows are stirring, and what Max hears in the silence may be the only warning before the nightmare truly begins. "Even in the calm, shadows grow. And sometimes, the monsters aren't just in your head."

Instead, she looked old, almost skeleton like. And this scared me. This was not how I remembered her. And I didn't like it at all. As I moved away in fear, she took a few steps closer. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Scared little girl?"
