Kelsey Desoto has always admired Aubrey Williams since they were kids, but as they enter their senior year, their healing bond is once again shattered. Kel's friends, Sunny Suzuki and Basil Moore, stand by his side as they navigate the challenges of becoming adults and the impending college application process. However, after Sunny's gruesome confession, Aubrey distanced herself from everyone, maintaining contact only with her best friend, Kimberly Davis. Despite the shocking revelation, Kel and Basil have forgiven Sunny, and the three of them are trying to move forward together. But as they prepare to embark on this next chapter to college, Kel feels incomplete. He doesn't want to leave without Aubrey, even though she now seems to despise him. At first, he goes to Sunny and Basil, who tell him to let go. Instead, he turns to his older brother, Hero, desperate for guidance, but Hero's advice does little to ease Kel's turmoil. With college on the horizon, Kel must find a way to reconcile his feelings and figure out how to reconnect with the person who once meant so much to him.
