Katerina and Macius were a picture-perfect couple. Five years of shared dreams, whispered promises, and stolen kisses had woven their lives together into a tapestry of love. But beneath the surface, a secret simmered, a secret that would shatter their world. It was a secret that involved Macius's twin brother, Marcus. Marcus had loved Katerina for as long as he could remember. He watched her from the shadows, a silent guardian angel, his heart aching with every stolen glance. His love was a silent symphony, played only for her, a melody drowned out by the roar of his brother's affections. Yet, Macius's affections weren't even directed at Katerina. He was, in fact, courting her sister, leaving Marcus's heart to bleed in the silent spaces between. Desperation gnawed at Marcus. He couldn't bear to see Katerina fall for his brother, the man who didn't deserve her love. Driven by a desperate hope, he hatched a daring plan. He convinced Macius, fueled by a mixture of guilt and a twisted sense of loyalty, to play the role of the twin brother.

Life was going okay...until I found out I had a stalker. That's when everything changed. ~~~~~ That’s when I heard the fence give way. I bolted for my left and sprinted as fast as I could. The rain burned my eyes and I had no idea where I was going. I was running blindly in a dark alleyway to God knew where. And, somehow, I knew I wouldn’t make it through without being caught. All of a sudden, I felt myself hurtling through the air. I let out a scream when my head made sickeningly painful contact with the slimy ground beneath me. That’s when he caught up with me. That’s when he dragged me to my feet, only eyes visible beneath his black mask. That’s when he whispered, ‘Keep still, and you won’t get hurt.’ Stupidly and feebly, I thrashed in his grip. And that’s when I caught a glimpse of the wet blade that glistened with rain drops, before he pressed it against my throat. Cliche, with a twist. Enjoy :) (It's better than it sounds, I promise!) #166 Mystery/Thriller #230 Romance
