When We Were Us
They were always together-until they weren't. Lyric was his anchor, his safe place. Elijah was her whole world, even when he didn't see it. She loved him in silence, watching as he gave his heart to someone else. She smiled through the pain, pretending it didn't hurt. Then one day, she let go. Years pass. Lives change. But some ties don't break so easily. When their paths cross again, old wounds resurface, and unspoken words hang heavy between them. He had her once and didn't know it. Now he sees her-but she's not the same girl who waited for him. This time, it's his turn to chase. ---
