Kurt Supe's journey into the investment industry began with his grandmother's guidance in researching and purchasing blue chip stocks, sparking a lifelong interest in finance. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Kurt currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Creative Financial Group, where he oversees the Best In Class Portfolios and manages $350 million in client assets. Despite his executive role, Kurt remains hands-on in client planning and actively supports the advisory team daily.
After earning a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Kentucky, Kurt began his career at 5/3 Bank. He soon recognized the advantages of independent advising for his clients, leading him to co-found Creative Financial Group with John Culpepper in 2003. This partnership allows them to serve clients without the constraints of sales quotas or product placements, focusing solely on clients' individual needs and goals.
Kurt is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), emphasizing the importance of continuing education to provide informed financial advice and recommendations. His expertise has made him a trusted contributor on WIBC radio and various local media outlets, including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC.
An accomplished speaker, Kurt has presented to organizations such as the Indiana CPA Society (INCPA), Indiana Tax Practitioners Association (ITPA), and Indiana Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), as well as at public seminars and insurance sales presentations.
Kurt lives in Indianapolis with his wife, two children, and their dog. His family enjoys attending Kentucky Wildcat football games, where Kurt is notably remembered for sacking Peyton Manning. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and cooking.
