I wanted to go. I wanted to leave the floating island of Riem and everyone on it behind, even if it meant I would have bittersweet memories. The bitterness would fade. Life would go on and maybe I would even grow fond of the recollections. The girl who was dropped off the cliff in Riem had drowned in the Serac. Whoever had crawled onto this ship was someone else entirely.
