In a remote village, a young woman named Amelia has always felt like an outsider. Growing up, she never quite fit in with the other people in the town, always feeling like she was different. On her sixteenth birthday, a full moon, she finds that it is because she is a wolfkin, and now has wolf ears and a tail. The prejudice of her hometown of Willowbrook, for the strange and unusual, now included her. As Amelia struggles with her new reality of being an outcast, she meets Lillia, a girl from a neighboring town that transferred to Willow High. Lillia is the only person who doesn't fear or shun Amelia, and she is actually the only one who fully accepts her true identity. As Amelia and Lillia spend more time together, they begin to realize that their affection for each other runs deeper than friendship. This story contains themes of panic attacks and bullying.
