She had tears in her eyes and was looking at me with disgust. Our eyes locked and it was like the world disappeared. It was her and me. I was to protect her with every fiber in my being and in that moment I want to cherish and comfort her and hurt whoever did this to her. Then it dawned on me. I did this. I hurt my mate. That thought alone made me want so shrivel in a ball and die. We broke eye contact when she quickly got into her car and drove away. She was my mate. A human. I had to make her love me. I have to make her forgive me. All of the hate for her washed away in that moment, that minute, that second. Disclaimer- I wrote this book when I was super naive and didn't know that the abuse written about in this book is unacceptable and not to be tolerated. Also, it's pretty bad writing. So just keep that in mind too.

"You're such a dick and then you went and fuck one of those girls. I can't believe this I just knew you were mistake. I knew I shouldn't have fuck with you........you're too young and you act stupid. You know what I'm so done with you............UGH I feel so stupid," she walks away angrily.

He shrugged as if the reason was obvious. "Well that's easy. I'm good looking, cute, smart," he listed. "Funny, and did I mention hot?" "Cocky too." I piped in, earning a frown him. "Tell me one good reason for you to not like me." He said firmly. "For a start, you are a blackmailer." I stated accusingly, narrowing my eyes in his direction and pointing a finger at him. “This is bad . . .” she muttered almost incomprehensively. I must have heard but didn’t actually listen. I tucked her hair behind her ear anyway. I really should have removed my hand. I played with her braid, my eyes still searching her. I really should move back. I really should. . . Oh fuck this. With a light pull of her braid, I kissed her.
