Bucky has a lot going on in his life.
Well, that's a lie. He has one big thing going on in his life: his alcoholic, abusive father. Maybe two, if you count Rumlow and his gang of idiots. But Bucky knows how to deal with these things. Stay out of the house. Keep his sisters, Lily and Becca, out of the house. Duck into hallways and bathrooms if he sees Rumlow coming at school. Above all, rely on his friends, especially Natasha, Clint, Sam, and Steve.
Except that things are changing too fast for Bucky to keep up. Especially Steve-related things. Bucky doesn't like that every time he sees Steve, his stomach flips over, and he really doesn't like that Natasha's convinced that he and Steve are soulmates. Because if there's one thing that will really, really make Bucky's life worse, it's being gay for his best friend.
A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
