It was summer break from college, everyone had their holidays planned out, and I had to return home for the summer. It took me four hours to drive home, pull up in front of the house park my car, got out when a Girl about 14 years old in a blue frilly summer dress walked past me with a smile, "Hello" the girl said "Hi" I replied "You like my dress" said the girl with a smile "It's pretty".
The girl and I chatted briefly before I walked up the driveway to the house. "Oh, my name is Susan Watson." "Phillip Wilson," I replied. We said goodbye, and I walked up the driveway, opened the front door to the house, and walked in.
As I closed the front door behind me, the kitchen door opened and out walked Mum's boyfriend, whom I thought was "You must be Phillip". I looked up and standing in front of me was a man 6 foot, large frame, really short jet black hair, dark eyes, tan complexion wearing what looked like an old fashion suit "Yes sir, wait you must be John Gardener, my Mum's boyfriend" I replied "Phillip did your Mum not tell you yet" said Mr Gardener. The bombshell hit "YOU GOT MARRIED!!! When?" "Phillip stop shouting, please I know this is a bit of a surprise to you" said Mr Gardener.
I did not reply picked up my bags and walked upstairs to my bedroom, got to my room and stepped in when Mr Gardener slightly pushed my bedroom door open "Phillip we moved your stuff from your bedroom to Brian's room, and his to yours" said Mr Gardener "Why?" I replied "Your younger brother has matured real quick, Brian looks like an upper-sixth former, he is tall, with broad shoulders, and has stubble on his face, a deep voice"
