"Who's there?" Maggie asks quietly, still holding her gun steady. In response, Ryan rolls the other can, which bumps against Maggie's boots. "Show yourself!" she exclaims again, her voice a little louder.
Ryan places her backpack on her back and slowly stands up, revealing herself and making eye contact with Lori. Maggie's eyes widen in surprise as she finds herself face to face with a teenage girl, slightly lowering her gun.
"Hi..." Ryan whispers, with a shy smile and both hands raised.
