He pursed his lips, looked down at the necklace he was wearing, watching it shine brightly in the moonlight. Looking at it, he felt a sense of longing, just like the necklace yearned for it's other half he too yearned, for the old days.
And so, he knew what he had to do. Slowly, he walked around before grabbing two glass shards that were on the floor. He winced and grit his teeth, pain surging through his palms as he gripped onto them tightly.
Tears stung his eyes as he glared angrily at his hands,
"I won't play your game anymore Ace"
And with that, he braced himself.
