Of Blood and Bonds

Bellatrix had counted the days in her own way, marking time not by the passage of hours or the changing of seasons, but by the burning hatred that had kept her alive, that had kept her from succumbing to the madness that claimed so many others. Hatred for those who had taken everything from her-her freedom, her family, her purpose. And beneath that hatred, buried deep but ever-present, was a singular, burning need: to see her daughter again.
