Μετά τον πόλεμο που διαδραματίστηκε στην χώρα της Κάλμπα, σχεδόν όλοι οι δράκοι έχουν αφανιστεί από τους ανθρώπους. 
Οι πιστοί σύμμαχοι των δράκων, τα ξωτικά παλεύουν να προστατέψουν με κάθε κόστος τον τελευταίο δράκο, τον τελευταίο του είδους του. 
Αλλά οι άνθρωποι καταφέρνουν κι τον εξοντώνουν. 
Η ιέρεια Σελίν, θολωμένη από την οργή της, θέλει να πάρει εκδίκηση κι πάει η ίδια, με πολεμιστές να σκοτώσουν τον βασιλιά των ανθρώπων. Όμως το βράδυ που τρυπώνει στο κάστρο, με στόχο να θανατώσει τον βασιλιά Κέλσιο, βρίσκει απέναντι της τον υιοθετημένο γιο του Κέλσιο που ακούει στο όνομα Άνδρικον. Εκείνος της αποκαλύπτει ότι ο τελευταίος γόνος των δράκων είναι ζωντανός και φυλακισμένος στα μπουντρούμια του κάστρου, και αυτή η αποκάλυψη θα έχει ως αποτέλεσμα πολλές περιπέτειες, αλλά και ένα ειδύλλιο μεταξύ του νεαρού θνητού Άνδρικον και της αθάνατης Σελίν.
