Gwen, Hannah, Dani, and Vanity are vampires. They want nothing more than to buy a Bleeder. The vampires have gotten rid of technology, believing that it makes humans slow. When there's an auction for humans, it's usually a low price, because every vampire wants a Bleeder. A Bleeder is a human who feels pleasure when they're being fed on. So when Gwen and her clan get an invitation to an auction, they assume that it's just going to be a normal one. Oh, how wrong they are.
