The Happiness of an Orphan's Mother

"It's the only way, but I don't want to have to live like this, in here, in heaven, on earth or anywhere else! They told me to become one of them. I should want this... Why do I feel so disgusted of myself?"

The year is 2066. In a peaceful coast city in northeastern Brazil, a disastrous and inexplicable industrial incident caused the entire town to collapse itself and to fall apart. Amidst the apocalyptic chaos, the civil police recruit Maicon is given the task to search for missing civilians inside the colossal power plant known as ANGRA-0 and rescue them before time runs out. However, as he wanders through a mysterious landscape, the novice is thrown against a sequence of bizarre events that challenge his understanding and that test his resistance beyond his limits. In search for an explanation for the upcoming disaster and trying to avoid as many deaths as possible, Maicon has yet to face a destiny which should not belong to him. In a crossroad between the past and the future, the cop's present shall determine the lives of many. The end, however, may not depend on him.
