The Scope of a Dreamer

Sixteen-year-old Hazel Thompson knew this life was not fair. Her parents were killed when she was young. Then, she was taken to residential school, where the abuse was so bad it had pushed her to run away at twelve, right into the arms of the van der Linde gang. Despite her experiences, she finds solace in a group of degenerates, in a good rifle, and in wide open spaces.

But as the turn of the century approaches, society begins to fence in those such as Hazel herself, and the bleakness of chance slowly begins to take everything away from her.
