Fifteen years ago Hybrids were given rights. Now a danger has overtaken the city. An illness turning random citizens into villains and killing them once they have carried out their deeds. Enter Grian, an English teacher working at a local high school who has to be a superhero the moment the city is in trouble. All he wanted was to live a normal life and possibly date his coworker. The Turf War Twisted
Scar's stressed about the Turf War, and Grian even more so. An unlikely admiration blossoms when the two leaders realise how similar they really are. The Turf War keeps them separate, but their love for each other brings them together. Sam was gone, for good, Mumbo had killed him and he hadn't respawned. He was dead. Grian trusted in the kindness of the world and he opened up, but that was his biggest mistake. Because what if Sam wasn't dead? What if they had been tricked by a simple hack? What if Scar and Mumbo went missing? What if they were taken? Grian would have to find out the consequences of those 'what if's the hard way. A sequel to "Sam's Back", I suggest reading that first if you haven't already since otherwise this won't make sense. A YHS/Hermitcraft fanfic. Angsty. There's some mild Grumbo shipping but it could just be seen as platonic. Also Scar/Cub shipping, but only really at the very end and you can ignore it if you want.
