The First Lord of Calamity, a horrible, selfish failure of a human being, had brought about great Chaos and bloodshed upon the world long ago, in the name of achieving her revenge against its supposed 'Saviour', having weaved a trail of carnage along her way to do so. As penance for her wicked deeds, she sealed herself away with a powerful deity meant to rob all humanity of its will, casting her and it into an eternal and blissful slumber, leaving life broken yet unwavering, and everything continued living on, Forevermore.

That was until the 'Lord of Calamity' found herself awoken to a missing deity, an opened seal, and a world on the brink, death seeping into the very fabric of life, an unstoppable tide of darkness looking to swallow the very world itself. Now freed from the shackles of her own will, Velvet Crowe steps forth into this bleak new world, seeking answers, meeting souls old and new, and all with the beating heart of a tattered soul given a second chance, despite her sins from an age long forgotten.
