Abby Jackson, L.P.N., has known Dr. House since he treated her newborn son 9 years ago. Granted, they haven't seen each other since, but she still keeps in touch via letters, and he tries to do the same if and when he can and remembers to. Cuddy has suddenly hired and assigned her to work under House's supervision, mainly for his clinic cases and general casework, alongside the three doctors he's hired to work under him. While he does treat Abby indifferently, as she hoped he might, she's also the only person besides Wilson who seems to have a generally positive impact on House's mood, rarely ever receiving backtalk or an icy look of any kind, and sees a friend worth fighting for.
