It's Time to Reveal the Real You...

I live alone. I love it, mostly. I am an introvert, and I value my alone time and need it to charge up my social battery. I can eat what I want when I want, and what I tidy, stays tidy!

But this being alone hasn't always been rosy.

Being an introvert hasn't always been easy.

Being around people has, at times, been extremely challenging.

It's tough when you're feeling lonely but have no one to reach out to. It is hard when you are scared to show your real feelings to those around you for fear of being judged. It's a difficult place to be when you retreat to your 'safe space' feeling like the world is against you, and you don't trust anyone to have your back.

That's the time when the safe space becomes a prison. Because that is what loneliness is, I believe.

I won't go into what got me into that spot. I guess it started in childhood, and some bad experiences made this hypersensitive, fearful, overthinking soul go into hiding!
