Kat EverHeart, a girl who grew up without a true family, is now facing more pain then she ever thought was possible to endure. Kat never really knew her parents since they had died when she was just old enough to read. Her two best friends, Skyler and Luke, have been there for her as much as possible since. They decided to stay together for as long as possible when they had turned 15.
