Was this really her? I couldn't tell. All I knew was that I couldn't look away from her, couldn't stop the whirlwind of emotions that churned inside me. She was saying something-her voice sharp and cutting, full of anger-but the words barely registered. I was too lost in my own thoughts, too consumed by the possibility that the woman I'd been dreaming about for years was standing right in front of me.

"Lost the challenge, huh?" I tease, trying to lighten the tension that's settled between us. Aadil walks over, leaning against the counter, that same smile still playing on his lips. "You know what? I'm okay with losing. Had I won, you wouldn't have liked my demand as a reward..." There's something in his voice-something quiet, something that makes my stomach do another flip. I glance up at him, and our eyes meet again. My breath catches, and for a moment, I forget what I'm supposed to say. I forget everything, really, except for the way he's looking at me. This is dangerous.
