Nicholas gazed at Ann, who was gazing out the window, and inquired, "How long have you and Alexander been close friends?" Ann replied, "Since we were children."
Nicholas's expression turned serious as he advised, "I suggest you suppress any romantic feelings you may have towards him." Ann nodded obediently, "Yes, Your Majesty."
Nicholas's curiosity was piqued, "Tell me, what's troubling you?" Ann hesitated, "Your Majesty, I don't feel worthy of being your wife, let alone a Queen." Nicholas's tone was gentle, yet inquiring, "Are you implying that I've made a mistake?" Ann quickly clarified, "N-no, Your Majesty, it's just..."
Nicholas interrupted, his voice reassuring, "Ann, don't worry. I intend to make you my partner, not a servant. You will be my wife, not a slave.

"Do you know what you've done to me, Annalise?" Her breath caught. "I-" "I can't think of anything but you." His voice was dark velvet. "Not since that night. Not since you pulled away." She stepped back-hesitant. He followed like a shadow. "Your Highness, you're-" "Different?" A slight tilt of his head. "Yes. You made me this way." Her hands trembled against her gown. "I didn't mean to-" "Didn't you?" His words wrapped around her. And there was no space left between them. _*_*_*_*_*_ In the heart of two ancient kingdoms, a princess draped in moonlight and sorrow was given to a prince carved from ice and iron. Princess Annalise Seraphina Charlotte of Eldoria carried the crown of a fallen family, her kingdom trembling on the edge of ruin. Graceful, kind, and untouchable as a winter rose, she was the last hope of a land that had lost everything. Prince Harold George Edmund of Valdermere was a warrior born of war and silence. With a crown of duty and eyes that revealed nothing, he was trained to rule with strength, not sentiment. Bound by an arranged marriage neither wished for, they stood together-strangers beneath golden arches, united for the sake of peace. But even in a world of thrones and treaties, hearts still whisper. And sometimes, even the coldest of unions can catch fire. This is the tale of two souls, burdened by duty, surrounded by shadows, and yet... destined to find something neither of them believed in anymore. Love.

In a world of monsters, is it possible to find the beauty in each other? Ice melts... Power ignites... Bonds forge... Just in time to clash with the impending storm on its way. ----------------------------------------------------------------- "I think you have lost your mind," Soren suddenly muttered. Then it happened: Annika grinned. A glowing warmth lit inside, heating her cold interior. There was something extraordinary about the simplicity put into a grin. The anguish lessoned, and suddenly anything was possible. Surely the sky could fall if Annika could smile? "What makes you say that?" She asked as she continued her movements. The grin acted as a soothing balm on her aching heart. Annika might've been crazy to become so easily uplifted by an everyday facial expression, but crazy seemed like a much better term to be than slave. "Only a lunatic would approach me in my slumber." His eyes remained shut, and he didn't object to her petting, so Annika didn't stop. "Well... you wouldn't know if you were asleep?" "Mmm," the sound vibrated like a guttural hum, "I awoke the second you entered." "Did you?" Annika asked as she turned her head to study his face, but this time, his eyes were open, revealing those beautiful pits of colorless depths. --------------------------------------------------------------- (WARNING: MATURE CONTENT OF ALL KINDS *EMPHASIS ON THE ALL PART*) Highest Rank: 48 (thanks to you beautiful creatures)

A fairytale kingdom A Crowned Prince A girl with a lost identity Love Betrayal Heartbreak and Friendships With all the above ingredients in a story won't you call it a royal cliché? ******** "Have we ever met before Miss Walsh?" Dread crept through me and with my ass half suspended in the air I answered him... "No... No I... umm... I don't think so," Oh God this is not going well. "I mean yes, if you have ever been to the Black Bean Café down on the 6th street. I used to work there as a barista or maybe at the metro station? Sure you must have seen me before." METRO STATION? What is wrong with me? ********* "Nicholas, try to understand. What if she comes back?" "She isn't going to..." he says frustrated. The next words were unclear so I press my ear to the wall, as he says, "... and that is why I am going to convince the King of Astéria, Mr. Wellington I mean, and the other Board Members in the next board meeting to hand over her share in the company to me. I will then..." Anger surges through me, tears fill my eyes and I run from there as fast as my heels could take me and hide in the ladies room. ********** [word count: 100000-105000]
