Heart of the Woods

Witches are hated among the people in the country of Saldamog but Amarante Vielle is an advocate to bridge the divide between those who hate the witches and the witches themselves. Recently, the country has appointed a new queen to the throne and she has created a job posting to hire a sorcerer advisor in the castle to hopefully unite the country. Amarante is the one for the job and meets new people like the baker, the librarian, and Trystan Caldwell, the Queen's Highest Royal Guard.

Trystan has the highest royal guard ranking due to his swordsmanship, boldness, and graciousness to those who he protects: excluding the witches he hates. His opinion of witches has been cemented since his youth, but when he meets the newest castle hire, can his opinion be swayed by the passionate, intriguing, and beautiful witch? Can the witch form a connection with the dashing and chiseled royal guard whose emotions seem nonexistent?

Within the castle, there is a heinous plot to banish witches for good and it's up to Amarante and Trystan to save Saldamog and the heart of the woods.
