Nine councils. Two sides. One war. And the supposed 'saviors' have no clue what to do. Sure, some of it made sense, but most of what their guardians told them was hard to grasp. They were just kind of there.

Cade Dolan never thought he would get involved in something as serious as war. He had gotten used to being inconspicuous. Forgotten. How ironic that Josh, his guardian, was forgetful.

Marion Dolan, Cade's sister, let her shyness decide how she does things, not saying much. But the strange power she possesses may just turn the tide of the war. And her guardian, Caleb, might just help her with that.

Fai Aiken was the one that might be holding the darkest secret of all. All it would take to unleash that darkness would be to light the flame of the past. Maybe his guardian, Riv, has the power that could permanently douse the wick.

Two trios. One prophecy. Countless hidden pasts. Anyone could be an enemy. Anyone could be a traitor. They just had to unwind the truths from the lies.
