When Rebekah was just five years old, her parents got divorced, and her dad ended up moving to New York. This led to most of her life being spent without her father in the picture. Instead, she was left with her stepdad, who treated her horribly and would occasionally hit her when he drank too much. Her relationship with her mom was also strained, as her mom would emotionally abuse her and blamed her for the divorce. This toxic environment continued until her dad found out what was happening. Concerned for her well-being, he had her move in with him and enrolled her in the high school where most of his friends' kids went.
