Maelyn kom aerkru, is an 18-year old girl. She might seem like a completely normal teenager, but what no one except Maelyn and her mother knows is that she has fire powers. They don't know where it comes from or why she has it, only that she does in fact have it, and no one can know about it.

Aerkru, is a forgotten clan that only has less than a hundred people in it. They hide and live in a mountain, and if anyone who isn't an Aerkru, trespasses their home, Aerkru will make sure they never get to leave.

Maelyn is bored tho, she doesn't want to hide forever, she wants to explore the world. So one day, she sneaks out. In the woods, she meets Asher kom trikru, a boy in her age. Maelyn tells him that she is trikru, just lost in the woods. They start talking a lot and hangs out for a few days. And eventually, Maelyn starts developing feelings for Asher. But she knows that they can never be with each other. If Asher finds out about her powers, and especially Aerkru, Maelyn and her people can be in terrible danger.
