Her family was now gone, leaving her the sole survivor. She had never expected to be saved that day of the attack, especially not by the Shadowsinger. She had not even been able to thank him before watching him fly off to rejoin the battle... Though guilt and grief consume Julia, she tries to find ways to continue living in Velaris without her memories consuming her. When she almost slips into the Sidra, a familiar face is there to catch her, just as he had saved her before.
