We drifted apart is what I always tell them,
while that's not even close to the truth. The one who sailed away leaving me in the storm was you,
and I let myself drown in the ruth.
I grasped your hand,
desperate to thread my fingers with yours,
but you dropped mine every time without any remorse.
Yet, I called your name till my voice was hoarse, But you didn't stay,
leaving me to rust till my heart was coarse.
