The fire within me blazes, desperate to escape. It's a constant, searing heat in my throat, a silent scream that never finds its voice. I wish I could unleash it all-to burn away the pain, to speak the truths buried deep inside. But I am their mute slave, and my suffering is their joy. I was raised among dragons, but unlike them, I cannot speak. My silence is a curse, a weakness they exploit. My stepmother and two stepsisters, Clara and Dara, torment me daily. Clara, the eldest, delights in my pain, while Dara, barely a month younger, follows her lead with cruel enthusiasm. Their brother, who was a fleeting light in my dark world, left a year ago for his training. I was seventeen then, and now, at eighteen, I still endure the torment they heap upon me. My father, the only one who might have protected me, is consumed by his work, training others to harness their power while I'm left to fend for myself in this house of horrors. Alone, I bear the burden of my voiceless existence, enduring the relentless cruelty of my stepfamily. My heart aches to be heard, to roar like the dragons around me, but all I can do is smolder in silence, a fire trapped within, waiting for the day it can finally break free.
