Meredith sat in the exam room crushing Addison's hands in a death grip. The doctor's words swirled around her, bringing her worst nightmare to life. She couldn't have kids. Neither she nor Addison could carry a child meaning that they would never have the family they both so badly want. Numbly, she followed the redhead back to their car, staring straight ahead as the reality of what the doctor said set in. Tears began to rush down her face as a broken sob slipped from her lips. When Meredith finds out that she can't carry children, she and Addison explore other options to expand their family.
