Nightwing and Red Hood, once allies and now lovers, find their bond tested when a Joker from another universe threatens Gotham. After Red Hood kills the Joker against Nightwing's wishes, the two heroes clash, leading to Batman's intervention and Red Hood's arrest. Nightwing breaks him out, and together they confront Batman, only to face a new threat from Harley Quinn. In the end, they save Batman and solidify their love, choosing to stand together against the darkness that surrounds them.
