Shall they endure the trials set by fate's cruel hand?
Or falter 'fore the evil that besets their land?
Will wizard's guidance lead them to the light?
Or shall they perish in eternal night?

After getting out of the world-hopping business, a bloody season fighting the Elves out east was just what the Chain had ordered. Guerilla warfare in the ancient forests wasn't exactly a soft job though, even for the last of the Helltroopers, and the mercenary rank and file were ready for a bit of rest in the seedier neighbourhoods of Blackbottom. A week of gambling dens and brothels would likely find most of them getting antsy enough to willingly march wherever the next Contract would take them. They didn't get a week before the next round of bloodshed.
