Merliah, the daughter of Xander (god of the sea), is the goddess of the ocean with the unique ability to transform between a mermaid and a human. She frequently visits Earth to enjoy the ocean's waves, but one day, her serene swim takes a dramatic turn when she saves a young man named Zachary from drowning. In the chaos, Merliah loses a precious bracelet given to her by her mother.
Zachary wakes up stranded on a beach, the last memory of falling off a boat and being swept away by the waves. Confused and disoriented, he finds a mysterious bracelet in his pocket but cannot recall how it got there. Vague memories of being carried to shore by an unknown rescuer linger in his mind.
Determined to retrieve her lost bracelet, Merliah returns to Earth, this time disguised as a college student to blend in and find Zachary.
