The year is 2457, and Nell Austen is finally starting her new job as an HCS Pilot, a fancy term for Time Traveler. The HCS, or Historical Comfort Society is the world's leader in human history preservation and record keeping. With the invention of time travel, wealthy patrons and governments seek to bring closure and comfort to notable historical figures, or even to verify historical events as they truly happened. 
Nell is eager to see events that she's only read about with her own eyes and to be a part of history herself. However it is one thing to read about things, it is quite another to live them! Also, being a time traveler might sound exciting and luxurious, but what happens when you meet your potential true love... who exists in an entirely different time period?
