For as long as she can remember, Hayley Baker has spent every summer in Cousins Beach, where the sand is warm, the waves are endless, and the people she loves feel like home. But this summer is different. This summer, she's trying to let go of the boy she's loved her whole life-Jeremiah Fisher. Hayley has always been the second choice, the girl on the sidelines while Jeremiah's heart has belonged to Belly Conklin. No matter how hard she tries to move on, she can't escape the ache of knowing that she will never be his first love. And with her father gone, her strained relationship with her mother, and the weight of feeling invisible, Hayley is caught between holding on and setting herself free. But the ocean has always been her escape, the only place where she feels like she belongs. As she spends more time surfing, rediscovering herself, and meeting new people, Hayley begins to realize that maybe she doesn't need to be someone's first choice to be happy. Maybe, for once, she can choose herself. This summer, Hayley will ride the waves of heartbreak, love, and self-discovery. Because sometimes, the hardest lesson to learn is that letting go isn't the end-it's the beginning. (Jeremiah x oc)

Y/N L/N has lived in Cousins Beach her entire life, but nothing ever compares to summer. Every June, the quiet coastal town came alive when her favourite people in the world arrived: the Fishers and the Conklins. For as long as she could remember, summer meant bonfires on the beach, shared secrets under the stars, and long days that felt like they'd never end. But this year, something's different. Everyone's growing up, and the things that used to feel simple now feel a little more complicated. Belly Conklin returns looking-and acting-like someone new. And Y/N can't shake the feeling that the world she's always known is beginning to shift beneath her feet. Friendships blur. Old feelings resurface. And one thing becomes clear: This summer in Cousins might change everything.
