When Amy moves into Saginaw, Michigan she is not thrilled. She just came out of the fifth grade and didn't want to make new friends. On her first day of school she heard all the new girls talk about the Saginaw woods. And what happened to Billy James over the summer. Who is billy James and what is the Saginaw woods?
Her teacher say that Saginaw is a sweet, nice town and they she would like it here. When she looked directly into her eyes, her teacher, Ms.Smalling , she became clear. And then vanished.
