At first, the doctors thought the girl was born with a deformity, until her black feathers grew out revealing abnormal wings. Superstition couldn't help but plague the townsfolk as they feared the child to be a cursed angel, even the child's parents. So, for the sake of easing their worries, the town abandoned the youngling to a deserted island to leave her to die. But what they would never know, is how resilient the child was on her own...
Years passed by, and the child grew into a cold, cunning, and independent young woman. She survived off natural instincts and wit alone. Along with her supernatural abilities, she was able to learn how to speak the human language by luring sailors to her home and taking everything from them: from books, to food, to their treasures. And it's because of this woman's special abilities, she ensured that her island remained unknown to anyone.
That is....until an extravagant looking ship with funny looking people came ashore.

Plus, Rayleigh mentioning something along the lines of her ability is similar in a way. Still haunted by the memory of not being able to save Ace. (Y/N) vowed to get stronger. Strong enough to never see anyone she cares for die in front of her again. She already lost her family once, and she'll be damned if it were to happen twice. But that wasn't all (Y/N) did in those two years. She has also been searching for any information that could be relevant to the power she possesses. Hoping to reach closer to the many answers that plagued her mind.
