Taking place about a year after The Princess and The Alchemist, Varian and Isabel reunite at the Exposition of Young Sciences. While both are happy to see each other, they both have to compromise against each other, along with 3 other young inventors, in the Exposition to see who will be granted as the best scientist in the entire realm. Or at least that what they have been told.

Many people long for a bigger and better life, especially as a young child and occasionally even a blossoming teen. However, this rule does not seem to apply to the young, starry eyed Violet Asaki.
