"You're a what.?" He asked in disbelief. "I'm a mermaid. That's why I brought you here. To the place where I became one." I explained. "Avery, I don't believe you." He shook his head and started for the exit. A tear rolled down my cheek. After everything we've been through, he doesn't believe me.? "I can prove it.." I slowly turned to the water. He is released from the hospital, and life seems like it should return to normal...but he's still haunted by his "hallucinations" He still knows what he saw was real.
