Welcome to the chaos. Or peace. Depends on the day, really.
This collection is a little like life itself-a mixed bag of emotions, sprinkled with awkward situations, questionable decisions, and a few too many feelings I didn't ask for. Some days, the world makes sense; other days, it's a cosmic joke and I'm the punchline. But hey, at least there's poetry, right?
Through these poems, you'll find pieces of me-sometimes sarcastic, sometimes raw, sometimes surprisingly calm about things I probably shouldn't be calm about. Each poem is a snapshot of a moment: from heartbreak to hope, rage to resignation, and everything in between.
So, grab a drink (you'll need it), settle in, and maybe, just maybe, you'll find a little bit of yourself here, too. But don't worry, I won't judge. Much.
16 year old Taylor Ford wants this summer to be different. She doesn't want to live her life in her little bubble anymore. She wants to live her life like she thinks a teenager should instead of lounging in her pool and reading all summer. Her neighbour, Brianna Hills, introduces Taylor to her friend group- (Which kind of has a bad reputation in their town.) As Taylor's beginning to make summer memories, she meets a guy.
Ezra Bennett is two years older than Taylor and she finds herself immediately attracted to him. He's kind (to her) and seems to be the guy who checks all the boxes, but he has a bad reputation in their small town. She knows she shouldn't fall for him, but her feelings completely disagree. As they get to know each other, Taylor thinks that maybe his bad reputation has been mistaken.
Until she doesn't.
