Merrick; The Last Dragon and His Mate

Merrick, a 1,000-year-old dragon had been hiding on an island along with other magical creatures to get away from the cruelty of humans. The island where they live is out of reach which makes them safe from invaders.

But not until two young mermaids take an unconscious woman close to the shore where hungry sharks freely lurk. Merrick had no choice, but to help them despite the urge not to aid the creature he despised the most.

The woman wears a bloody wedding dress. Her head had a deep cut and her lips were swollen. The islanders had no choice, but to take her in. She was injured and unconscious, but it didn't mean she was harmless to them.

They put them inside a cage, help heal her wounds, and put her a new clothes. Since she came, Merrick went hiding because being close made him smell her.

Who was this girl and why she was in the middle of the sea, wearing a bloody wedding dress with so much injury? Why this strong dragon couldn't come close to this human being when he had been mingling with them for a long time whenever he visited the cities in his human form?

All these questions will be answered once she gains consciousness and everyone is waiting for her eyes to open.
