Dorian walked a little faster than before. "Well sweetheart, maybe if you kept your mouth shut then we would've had food to eat this morning."
"My name is Narazeth! Not sweetheart!" I yelled. "You know, we wouldn't be in this situation if-"
"Shut up," Dorian cuts me off.
Oh, I know he just not tell me to shut up. He's asking to go into his grave early. He must've forgotten that he needs me, not the other way around. "Say that again, I dare you!"
Dorian turns around, giving me a look before we both heard something roaring close. Footsteps were approaching us. He was trying to warn me.
"Run," he whispered.
Narazeth knew she didn't stand any chance. She sees herself as undesirable, unloving. She was a dragon but her wings were broken. She was a pet but she didn't know from right to wrong.
But when she overheard she might end up dead pretty soon- she takes things into her own hands. She didn't want to die, so she ran away. Not knowing a direction to go.
And that's when she meets a man named Dorian. A depressed older man who's also a dragon. He admittedly finds her annoying, but for some reason... he wants to protect her.
