But, she's extremely lucky, having survived a hurricane that wiped out almost the entire population of her small beach town in North Carolina. Almost. Mauve and her grandmother, along with their house, remained the only unscathed family.

That's just the big thing, though. Money tends to show up randomly and the pedestrian signal always turns on the second Mauve is ready to cross. It's weird, but it's not something to complain about.
